What ever happened to Flo and Zacks restaurant and gas station on the top of Hampton Hill, Rte 6 on the Brooklyn town line. Best pies in the world. And, is the Hampton Springs Store still there? The old general store was owned by Burgess Meridith's brother George.

Until his death last year, actor and musician Max Showalter made his home in Chester and was quite involved with the town and area's cultural events. His most famous role was as Jean Peters husband in the 1953 film "Niagara" with Joseph Cotten and Marilyn Monroe. Showalter's last film was 1984's "16 Candles".
