According to an entry in the Willimantic Journal, January 1864, my great great grandfather Frank Lazarus "of Willimantic" and great great grandmother, Nettie Ballerstein were married in Hartford. Was there a Jewish community in Willimantic at that time ? I am wondering what brought Frank there (he was from England). Is there anyone who could\would check directories for 1864\65 to see if Frank Lazarus is listed ?
