Do they still have ice skating at Rec park? The city use to flood the lower ball field and had flood lights for nights. Also, use to go skating on Columbia Lake--man that was fun!! Two kids take a blanket and hold it between them like a sail and away we goooooo!!

I remeber skating ar Rec Park, in fact thats where I actually learned how to skate on single blades. we used to play a game we caller Soccy, we would take a soda can and step on the middle with the skate, this would bend it in the middle, then we would play soccor on ice. I still have scares on my shins from being kicked with the blades. But it was fun.

It always smelled like woodsmoke and wet wool.
