Hey al,

Did al sr. have a cleaners on High St., do a vaudville routine at various night spots and sing in St. Joseph's choir and do you remember Bob Steele doing the "Help the kid around the corner.." Mile of dimes thing for polio in the late 40's?

i think you must be thinking about al saba right?? al had the cleaners on high st across from the library in townhall. he was a character alright. we used to bring our stuff in there. he lived up on high street a few blocks up - near the college if i recall correctly.

i saw al do a dance number once at the elks home and he did the split. thing was he threw his back out and my uncle had to hekp him up. people laughed but he hurt himself my uncle ned told us.

well, i think you must be thinking of al saba alright. he had a son too. ,but i dont know his name.

AL Saba had a son name Al jr and a daughter name Beverly and they both are living out of town.
